II. My love affair with journaling [reasons to journal]

Below are my top reasons for journaling. And mind you that I journal using the Journler program mentioned in part I of this subject.
MY TOP Reasons for Journaling (using Journler in OS X)
- It keeps me from forgetting the small yet amazing things that God does in my every day life. It keeps me focused when I am praying and talking to God in my times of meditation.
- It is an awesome tool when it applies to my study of the bible (or anything else for that matter). I am able to paste bible verses into Journler and then write my notes right there along side the scripture.
- I can password protect my Journal which is a whole lot more private than a hand-written journal.
- I am able to backup all of my Journler content (my whole journal) using Time Machine in OS X Leopard.
- I am able to record things I’m playing on my laptop since the built-in mic is right next to the left speaker. So I can record portions of podcasts, insert them into my journal entry and then comment on it.
- When I’m in a class or conference and there is teaching involved I can record the teaching and then review it later.
- And last but not least, I can lookup words easily in Dictionary by hovering over a word and hitting ctrl++d… you can’t get that in a paper journal.
Goodnight my journaling friends.
