Jesus has overcome this world. Don’t lie to yourself, there is pain and suffering in all of us and all of us know in our heart of hearts that there MUST be more to this life than the mundane day to day grind. Well there is… it is Jesus Christ! Christ takes the guilt and shame that we ALL share and KILLS it on the CROSS! Brutal and horrific was its death, but it needed to be because that is what it deserved.

Jesus has promised us eternal life if we just take his gift of salvation! Take it man! It is free! COME ON PEOPLE… WHAT IN THE WORLD COULD POSSIBLY BE BETTER!?

This song was born out of the church that Ted Haggard pastored for years. Read and watch his story here. Than, after that sad story came crashing down there was a man with a gun that came into the church and started shooting killing people. After all this the song Overcome was written and performed. ALL GLORY TO GOD IN THE HIGHEST! If this doesn’t hit you in the heart than you may just not have one. GOD, MY GLORIOUS KING PLEASE REVEAL THE FACT THAT YOU ARE STILL ALIVE TO WHOEVER MAY BE READING THIS AND LISTENING TO THIS SONG AND STORY!

To my fellow men out there if you don’t already have God fearing men in your life that you can be so real with it hurts than you need them!
Also, the church I attend is so awesome and have done this song numerous times… I just want to give them some recognition, not that they want it or anything! Thanks Scott Limerick!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our God fearing worship pastor! Thanks BAND, you guys are all awesome! Thanks technical team… you are equally awesome!!!!
