BSOD on Dell Optiplex 755 from any OS CD/DVD

If you have a Dell Optiplex 755 and need to boot to a Windows XP CD (that you know is working) but you keep getting the blue screen of death and you are about to go INSANE with rage, hold on because the answer can be found here.
Just in case that link is unavailable in the future here is the answer that worked for me:
In the BIOS set the SATA Operation to “RAID Autodetect / ATA” instead of “RAID Autodetect / AHCI”
Now I can happily run the [chkdsk /r] I was needing to run and be done with this thing.
Thanks to the people who figured this one out.
Hopefully this will help someone else out that is banging their head against a wall today.
